The success of Cricket Wireless has strongly impacted Consumer Mobility Business Sector of AT&T. Furthermore, the prepaid portion of the consumer mobility has shown significant growth over the past 2 years with AT&T. However, Cricket Wireless growth is limited because of unappealing devices and no international coverage. We have observed that Cricket Wireless, as a subsidiary of AT&T, operates under the Utilitarian Approach because it contributes to the success and performance of its parent company. The Utilitarian Approach is doing what is morally right for the greater good of society and the company’s numbers. This can be seen though Cricket’s ability to advance in Workforce Diversity, increasing Network Connectivity, and Affordable Wireless Plans. While consulting Cricket, we understand that “diversity of thought” is significant to the upkeep of the company and that the demographic data of the company is consolidated with AT&T. With careful research we have noted that nearly 32% of the employees at AT&T are women, 42% are of color, and nearly 11,000 are veterans. It is evident that the frontline workers of Cricket display even larger number of diversity because of the locations in which they target. We have mentioned previously, that Crickett Wireless struggles with expanding internationally and providing international coverage for mobile devices as well as offering a better selection of mobile devices that attract more millennials.
