Are people absolutely good or evil by nature, or do both inhabit everyone? This is a question that Shakespeare explores in his play Romeo and Juliet, where a forbidden romance between two teenagers, and a violent feud between their families results in the death of both lovers. In Act II, Scene iii, Romeo’s wise mentor, Friar Lawrence, discusses the uses of medicinal herbs, to suggest that no one is absolutely evil or absolutely good by nature however one can be more dominant than the other. Throughout the passage, Shakespeare uses an extended metaphor to indicate that both good and evil inhabit human nature. While commenting on the various uses of a medicinal flower, Friar Lawrence says that “Within the infant rind of this weak flower, poison hath residence and medicine power” (II.iii.23-24).

In William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the concept of good and evil is explored through the characters and their actions. However, upon closer examination, it becomes apparent that nothing is inherently good or evil, but rather it is the perception and context in which it is viewed that determines its moral value. This idea is highlighted through various quotes throughout the play. One example of this is when Friar Laurence says, "Virtue itself turns vice, being misapplied, / And vice sometime by action dignified" (2.3.21-22). Here, the Friar is suggesting that even the most virtuous of actions can become sinful when carried out in the wrong context.

I think it was a really good idea that Romeo and Juliet got married secretly but, at the same time I don't. It was a good idea because they prove that they love each other, but I think they're just attracted sexually and not emotionally. Both of them are not really in love because at the end of the day they are just trying to sleep with each other. Romeo is a player because he was in love with Roseline and the then "He fell in love with Juliet". I personally think that marriage is not something to play with because once your're there they promise to stay together until death do them apart.
If people would come to resolution with each other there wouldn't be as much tragedy or conflict in the story. Why is this play considered a tragedy? This play is considered a tragedy because Romeo got in a fight with his cousins that later on he kills and has to be banished. That is bad for Romeo and Juliet because they are secretly married and now with Romeo gone Juliets dad wants her to marry Paris. Another tragedy is two lovers were not aloud to marry each other because they were from different clans that hated each others guts so they wouldn’t allow them to get married which later on kill themselves because they think it’s how they think they can be together.
