Segregation, racism, and slavery are just another word for when someone is to harass an African-American or a person of any color besides white. All of the court cases involving African-Americans were extremely unfairly ruled mostly because of how they treated and how the cases were ruled. I think Justice‘s Harlan‘s predictions that because of the court‘s ruling, society would come to the belief that the two races were not created equal, did come to pass. After the court rejected Plisse‘s argument, more segregation did happen in many areas. The ruling did impact the country in that it allowed segregation to exist in business and public places furthering the idea that one race was inferior to the other. I think the rest of the court ignored his warnings because they didn‘t think prejudice should be regulated by the law. They didn‘t believe that forcing the two races to exist together would overcome racial prejudices and that the 14h Amendment was not created with that intention.

They passed laws known as the black codes which limited blacks’ rights and segregated them from whites. As a result, segregation is wrong because it restricted the rights of African Americans and denied many of a good education.

De facto segregation is still at large today De facto segregation is when a person or family chooses to move to a segregated area. They are practically forced out of their former town because they usually can’t afford bills and taxes and move to a town with lower bills. Laws that came to be known as the incredibly devious Jim Crow laws. These insidious Laws were enforced by the former Confederate southern states, which began in the late 1870's and early 1880's, that actually made it legal to segregate blacks from whites. The Jim Crow laws confined legal rights of black people to be designated their own colored public facilities, as well as their schools, even to water drinking fountains.

Discrimination has caused many uproars and protests all over the country to protect all races. The three main reasons why segregation is wrong is that it takes away their freedom, makes them feel unequal and treated differently, and finally it is unconstitutional.
The fight to end segregation and racism has been going on since the beginning of time. Racism is one of the biggest problems in the US. It has gone from slavery, to forced segregation, and nowadays to just being looked at differently. Many people of color are sick of this treatment and are now wanting segregated dorms at colleges.
