Plagiarism Plagiarism can be described as the stealing of intellectual property. By this I mean to pass someone else's work as your own. So in other words it's fraud. Plagiarism continues to be a growing problem across all levels of academic institutions. Students tend to plagiarise to take the easy way out. They disregard the moral and honest values that define academics. They find it acceptable to steal someone else's work and claim it to be original.
