Julius Caesar what a great and powerful leader Rome had. He did a lot of great things in his time and period that he was a leader for Rome. He also did some mistakes like every other leader in the world. Julius was born on July 12 or the 13, 100 B.C. Julius helped Rome start something new he wasn’t like all the other leaders that Rome had. When Julius was the age 31he had fought in several wars and became a part of Rome’s politics. Marcus proved to be a big help in Julius’s rise to power. Marcus himself a great leader and the wealthiest man in Roman history offered financial and political support to Caesar. The three men together as a partnership are known as the First Triumvirate. For Julius, this was a great help with the political alliance and it gave him a perfect jump start to a greater domination. Not long after, Caesar secured the leadership of Gaul (now France and Belgium), allowing him to build a bigger military and begin the kind of campaigns that would make him ten times stronger in his status as one of Rome's all-time great leaders. In the time 58 and 50 B.C., Julius took over and conquered Gaul. When he was still searching and becoming more powerful he showed his enemies how scary and mean and powerful he was. While Julius was taking over Gaul he had people back in Rome doing all the political stuff that he couldn’t do in Rome. Julius and Pompey eventually had a war against each other but Pompey’s army and troops are no match for Julius’s military. Julius had pushed his enemies out of Italy and into Egypt.
