Mohandas Gandhi was an Indian Peace leader who fought for “independence for [his] country” (Mitchell). He lived from 1869 to 1947 when he was assassinated. he went to England to go to school to become a lawyer. He went back to India after school but there was no work so the moved to South Africa where the lived for 20 years.
