William Shakespeare is a well-known Play write. Although I’m sure you have heard his name at least once in your life, and probably know a little about him or his works, he is to the people whom have and continue to study him and his work an unsolved mystery. This meaning that there is no set in stone information on the day he was born till the day he died. Only little bits and pieces of documentation and records on his life through lifes stages. Church records indicate that a William Shakespeare was baptized at Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon England on April 26, 1564. They got married on November 28, 1582, in Worcester, in Canterbury Province. Little did they know, they were pregnant with their first child they named Susanna, who was born on May 26, 1583. During the few years between their first child and they next few there is little to no records indicating Shakespeare’s life in detail. By 1590, documents show William was a managing partner in the Lord Chamberlain's Men, an acting company based in London. After the crowning of King James I, in 1603 the company changed its name to the King's Men. In 1597 15 of the 37 plays written by Shakespeare himself were published. Records show that at this time he purchased the second largest house in Stratford called New House. It was a four-day ride by horse from Stratford to London, so he spent most of his time in the city writing and acting and came home once a year during the 40-day Lenten period, when the theaters were closed. This is amazing. Staying away from your family for an entire year! By 1599 he started out on his own with a few business partners they created their own theatre and called it the Globe they built it on the south bank of the Thames River. A neat little fact about William is that he invested in real estate for around 440 pounds and as the years went on every year he was gaining 60 pounds on each property and sold them for profit.
