“Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.”- is a famous quote by William Shakespeare (William Shakespeare Quotes). Who is William Shakespeare? Many know him for his plays but he first became famous for his poetry. The real question that is asked all the time and that there is no true evidence to back this up is if he really wrote the plays himself or if someone wrote them for him. No one will really know other than him. All there is to do is to base the answer on what is seen, read, or heard. Shakespeare is world known as the best playwrighter of all history. By 1592, Shakespeare was a well-known popular actor in the Elizabethan theatres,this event probably sparked the inner Shakespeare inside him that made him want to write his own plays as well as perform them. Shakespeare then decided to retire in the year 1613 and 3 years after his retirement, William Shakespeare died at the age of 52 (William Shakespeare). Although he lived a short life and he is gone now, his name is still widely known in history. Why is that? Well Professor Jonathan Bate gave his opinion on Shakespeare's writing saying, “Shakespeare's Words is one of the very few works of reference that deserves a place on the shelves of all Shakespeare lovers and for that matter all lovers of the English language. In all too many cases explanation of Shakespeare's words - both those that have become obsolete and those that have changed in meaning - have been passed down from editor to editor since the nineteenth century (What People Have Said about Shakespeare's Words).” When a professor i saying that his words are one of the very few works of reference that deserves a place on the shelves of all the Shakespeare’s lovers and English lovers, is goes a long way and shows that his writing is really admired as well as very appreciated in this
