During the Elizabethan Era, William Shakespeare has remained a public figure to historical records due to his popularity and is regarded as none other than one of the greatest writers of the English Language. Throughout his prosperous life, he managed to write around 38 plays, as well as 154 or so sonnets. Shakespeare’s theatrical plays are more well known and performed than any others, making him one of the most successful playwrights of all time. From then on, Shakespeare began to write plays and poems that are known to all of us today.
In the town of Stratford-upon-Avon in England, William Shakespeare was born on April 26, 1564. He was granted a free education from Stratford Grammar School with an educational program that enabled him to learn about Latin and classical literature; however, he did not continue his education in university. In the years between 1585 and 1592, William’s life was left mysterious after his twin children were born. By 1592, he became involved and well known in the theatrical world as “an actor and playwright” (Branam). In addition, he was mostly inspired due to the Elizabethan era that he lived in. One way it contributed was the way that he structured a majority of his poems. The main themes of Shakespeare’s poems were commonly familiar to the Renaissance era, which were “love, time, mutability, conflict of body and soul, passion and reason” (“Introduction”). The main ideas of his poems were about making the idea of love eternal and beautiful as well as how time moves fast that makes the bond of love
