1. What three branches were created by the Constitution? The three branches that were created by the Constitution are the Legislative Branch, Executive Branch, and the Judicial Branch.
In the summer of 1787, fifty five delegates met in Philadelphia so that they could make a new government because the one that they had was just too weak and wasn’t doing the job. James Madison wrote, “The accumulation of all powers . . . in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many (is) the very definition of tyranny” to support the new Constitution. James Madison basically thought that all power, no matter if it was in only one person's hands was classified as tyranny. He also thought that if all of the power was in a few hands than that was still classified as tyranny.
Without the Constitution, who knows what our country would’ve been. I know that nobody would even step foot into this country if things like tyranny were around spreading chaos all over. With different ways, including dividing powers between branches of government, Checks and Balances, and having Equal Representation from each state for the Legislative Branch, the Constitution can fulfill it’s purpose by maintaining our great country. More ways show a great deal of significance from Constitution, but these ways are very special because they show us a reminder of what was done for us to have no tyranny in our beloved country. The Constitution guarded against tyranny so that we can appreciate what our great founding fathers did so that we could
These four constitutional references and diagrams explained tyranny and the sectioning of power in the government. The first reference by James Madison explained the double security provided by a compound government. It was attached to a document that showed examples of the powers reserved for state, and national government. The second reference, also by James Madison explained the plan for the three branches of government, Legislative, Executive, and Judiciary. The diagram attaches explained the powers that went along with each branch.
The articles of the constitution work to establish the branches of the federal government and describe what powers they have. The first three articles split up the branches of government. These branches are the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial. All three of the articles are to explain what the branch does. On the other hand, Article four talks about the relationships between states, and that is my favorite.
On Friday, February 8, 1788, James Madison wrote “The Structure of the Government Must Furnish the Proper Checks and Balances Between the Different Departments: Federalist 51”. In this document, Madison discusses in regard to the Constitution the structure of government and its relation to its many parts. How each part should share a relation with the other to keep both part in its’ proper place while respecting the other branch. In the defense of the Constitution, the article states, “shall we finally resort, for maintaining in practice the necessary barrier of power among the several departments, as laid down in the Constitution” (Madison).
Historical events or contemporary examples show interactions among the branches of the federal government. These interactions are in the form of checks and balances. An example of this would be S.T.A.R.T. A treaty proposed by President Obama in 2010. Two branches had to work together to ratify this treaty, the Executive and Legislative. S.T.A.R.T. is a treaty “President Obama and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed [that was a] major nuclear arms control agreement that reduces the nuclear stockpiles of both nations” (Obama).
Three Branches Research Project The United States of America began in 1776, and during the first 11 years of the young nation’s existence its mechanisms were governed by the Articles of Confederation. This disorganized document was riddled with inefficient policies creating more disunity than synergy prompting the drafting of the Constitution. The Constitution as we know today wasn’t ratified until June 21, 1788.
One of the first items that came from the Constitution was the Congressional (Legislative) Branch. The founding fathers of the United wanted to have a bicameral legislature, or two chambers, to represent the people. These two chambers came to be the House of Representatives and the Senate. Each one has different total number of members, different qualifications needed to be met to run, different leadership roles, and exercises in political power.
The branches of Government When the constitution was written it was written so that no one person could have all the power of the government. The constitution wanted to make sure that all people could have the benefits of the federal government but still live with separate state laws. Because no man is immune from enticements of evil, none can be trusted and invested with limitless power. (Lapeer, RUsseell W. issue 6 p. 2).
America’s founding documents facilitated a system of shared power and alliances by dividing power into 3 separate branches. This not only prevents over power and or abuse of power, but allows for a steady, stable government with a precise outline that is assured upon every registered United States citizen. At one point America had no guidelines, or rule books. Until our country's founding fathers met and crafted a lengthy handbook on ways to live in order for each and every person to live a life consisting of liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as a constant drive for all people of America. To begin, Thomas Jefferson, one of our country's founding fathers, held a very strong opinion about the governance of America.
4. Government branches, or namely the Federal Reserve, make economic policies like monetary and fiscal policy to adjust our economy, and social policy affected by the aftermath of new policies: if new economic policy end in a better economy, then the later governments will incorporate that idea into their set of social policies. Also, if there is an economic crisis, then the economic policy used to counter that is likely to stay for years until someone is brave enough to change it, and if that change results in big market fluctuations, it will stay longer. According to our book, one of the examples of major economic ideas that change the social policy is John Maynard Keynes’s idea: by adjusting the amount of government spending, the government
The ratification of the constitution first needed to be approve of two thirds of the thirteen state governments before it became accepted as the law of the land. While there certainly were people who were happy with the constitution there are also many who were suspicious of it. Those people who were afraid was because of a strong powerful federal government. To kind of ease people’s fears and to state what it was all about they wrote a series of essays that are known as the Federalist papers.
The founding fathers created 3 branches because they felt that if the government had too much power that they would become power hungry, so they separated powers to keep everything equal so power couldn't corrupt. It was the best way they thought to have equal power in government. There would be three groups of power to decide different things in government and no group would have more power than another group. When the founding fathers wrote The Constitution of the United States of America, times were different and they knew things would change, so they wrote the document very fluently, allowing for changes to be made. Such as the fact that when they said all men are created equal, they were more likely than not, talking about all rich
