On June 28, 1914, World War I was a huge outbreak of the War. The world's first global conflict, the “Great War” with the allies and Central powers that were going against each other after the assassination Archduke Franz Ferdinand. The central powers were Austria-Hungary, Germany, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire. The allies were Serbia, Russia, France, Britain, Italy, Belgium and the United States. During World War I peace had been eliminated because of the Assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, The Zimmerman note, and being able to resolve the conflict. First, the major conflict that lead to World War I was the black hand group. The Zimmerman note was a huge conflicted Between Britain and Germany. Germany wrote a note for the ambassador in Mexico saying that if they support Germany in the war they would help them fight the US for the lost territory New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. The British were able to get a hold of the note and gave it to America and this was one of the reasons the US declared war on Germany. The document said that they would be 100% responsible for the WWI, have to pay for the damage , and have to pay pension for the soldiers which added to 30 billion dollars. Some countries were aiming to weaken Germany so that they would not be able to start anymore conflicts between other countries.
