My freshman year I became the secretary of my class in our Student Leadership Team and held this position all four years. I also joined the Academic Booster club and this involved volunteering, fundraising to give scholarships, and seeing the importance of balancing academics with other activities in our life. I also became a part of my local church’s youth group, we worked with the elderly around the holidays and with the community. I eventually became a member of the National Honor Society and became captain of my swim team my senior year.
