Society is filled with many different forms of entertainment. One form of entertainment is video games. Video games can be so similar, but also vastly different. Two very famous game franchises are Mario and The Legend of Zelda. Although at first glance, people may think that they are similar, after looking closer, people will realize that they are very different.
At times Mario and The Legend of Zelda can be very similar. They are both made by the same company, Nintendo, and they were even made by the same creator, Shigeru Miyamoto. They have a large following with over a hundred million copies sold worldwide, and at least a million copies sold on each of the games in the series. Originally the first games for each series was on the NES, an old nintendo console, in the mid to late 80’s, but as time progressed they switched to various different consoles that were relevant to the time. These game franchises share a lot in common, but there is also many things that they disagree on.
Mario and The Legend of Zelda are also very unique in their own way. The two princesses in the two games that the player has to save are pretty different. Zelda is the princess from The Legend of Zelda. Link, the main character, usually interacts a lot with Zelda in the beginning of the game, and she teaches him important stuff and gives him items that he will need later in the game.
