As a third-year business scholar, coming from Miami, FL, and maintaining a 3.0 GPA, I have a bright future ahead of me. Having to be grown up in a little educational background community encouraged me to further my education and not encounter the obstacles I have witnessed the individuals around me endure. My upbringing did not encourage much education and because of my family’s misadventure to go out to pursue higher education, I’m pushed even more to my true potential to become a better person. Experiencing this only gave me motivation to go out and chase my dreams and attend Florida A&M University. I am not proud of where I have come from, yet thankful because it has taught me to have the strength to do anything I put my mind to. This includes, but not limited to, graduating from Florida A&M University with a degree in business, telling my story of my trials and tribulations of growing up to influence others, and giving back to my community.
My first major goal is to graduate, which I am striving for a Masters of Business Administration degree with a concentration in finance from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. During my time here at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University I have been involved in a few organizations and clubs in the School of Business and Industry that will assist in bettering myself as a business student. …show more content…

My first job was a sales job and required tons of interactions with customers and amongst my coworkers. That job promoted friendly competition between employees and stores in the region. I performed extremely well and little did I know that from that experience, it was going to change how I approached tasks and my competitiveness.
