I have one goal that I believe is the overarching goal of my entire life. Due to the fact that is over such a period of time, it is rather vague in nature; nonetheless it is very specific to me. I want to help people. This does not mean simply helping one group of people, I mean that I want to help anyone that happens to stumble along my path: I want to be remembered as someone who was always open to lending a helping hand or a place to lay a weary head. Moreover, I want to create an impact on the world that, while it may not grant me the most prestigious status, will leave my imprint in the hearts of those around me.
How can I make this goal happen, you ask? I have a three-part answer to this question: I want to become a physician, I want to inspire those who can, to help me, and I want to lift up those who cannot help themselves. I believe the rigorous academics of Georgetown offer me a unique opportunity to have an edge on my future; I want to learn from, and with the best of the best. Furthermore, I am confident that the science programs offered at Georgetown University will support me on my way to one of the best medical schools and on to my future as a physician. The lack of availability to healthcare is one of the most urgent concerns in my country, Haiti. Therefore, I want to become a physician to be able to improve the worrying situation that must be handled. In addition, I believe that I can be someone who helps change the worrying situation viewing as how I am part of the new generation, the generation that can bridge the gap between what little people know about the country and its needs now to give them better perspective therefore giving Haiti a better
