Throughout my time in high school, one of the things that intrigued me is that our ASB lacked communication. Even when I was in ASB, I tried to strengthen the communication, but it had little effect, since I was the only one. When I ran for ASB president, my campaign centered around strengthening the lines of communications so everyone could be satisfied. Although I lost this election by about ten votes, I still strongly advocate for good communication. It is important for ASI to communicate their message so the student body can respond. How can a group of people move on and improve themselves if their leaders do not communicate efficiently. Therefore, the student body need these communications so they can have a reaction. For all of these positions, communication was crucial in making sure events ran well as well as duties being fulfilled. For example, for Interact, as International Project Chair, I had to plan community service events that was towards our International Project, attend all events that was geared towards our International Project, and present on a weekly basis about new events and outcomes of previous events. If I had slacked off or did not communicate, we would not have had any events our members could attend. As a Link Crew leader, I had to communicate to our team and our coordinators about how to welcome the new class, as well as serve as a senior leader that new leaders could look up to and ask for help. If I been shy and not step up as a senior leader, coordinators would have been more stressed than they would have as all the new Link Crew leaders would have gone to them instead of me. Lastly, as a class officer, I had to use social media and make advertisements for all our events, as well as when our class council meetings
