Identifying a lethal disease in most cases is easy with the advances in medical fields. Some say the earlier the detection, the best. Yet, at hand is an illness that is slowing draining the health of many and is going unaware. Caused by different means, stress is progressing systematically; leading the regular American to a decay in health, life problems, and even death. Defined by the Webster-Merriam Dictionary as “a state of mental tension and worry caused by problems in your life, work, etc.”(WMD) stress can have an enormous impact on people. The aforementioned can upsurge from various reasons. It can be a situation causing anxiety, family difficulties, complications in school (money, schoolwork, no time), and/or even work (money). A sluggish progress takes place resulting in a stressful life is depression. When a person is overload with things or is undergoing an extreme situation, that individual tends to turn on the fight or fight response. This response is describe by Dr. Walter Cannon as, “when an organism experiences a shock or perceives a threat, it quickly releases hormones that help it to survive;” This is also known as the acute stress response. Our brain tends to categories possible threats, when our brain detects those threats it releases the hormones. They have all different effects on body. They can cause high blood pressure to panic attacks; when they accumulate over the time, they can cause depression. Anxiety is other outcome of stress. A person can have an important presentation coming up, or a job interview. Stress cause that person to have an unease feeling affecting the performance. In the extreme cases when stress reaches the high point and depression, anxiety, and emotional breakdown occur a person can commit
