Behaviorally Based Parent and Teacher training, Parent- Teacher- Focused Cognitive- Behavioral Interventions, and Child-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Interventions were the interventions used. Behaviorally Based Parent and Teacher training were taught to the parent and teacher of the child assessed. This training “used behavior management approaches that are antecedent and that shape behavior through consequences.” (Levine, E. S. and Anshel, D. J., 2011).
The Parent and Teacher-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions introduced the child’s parent and teacher the relationship between attributions about the his behaviors and subsequent emotional and behavioral responses. It taught the teacher and parent how to identify automatic self-statements pertaining to the child’s behaviors and were introduced to the Cognitive- Behavioral therapy (CBT) tools of “cognitive restructuring” and disputation (Levine, E.
