I took part in the Moody 's Mega Math Challenge, a yearly mathematical modeling competition in which teams attempt to use mathematics as a predictive and analytical tool for discussing a given problem. The Challenge focused on STEM and non-STEM careers, comparing the short-term cost of college and the long-term financial stability of both career paths. We were given 14 hours to complete a comprehensive paper offering a solution to their questions I and four others divided the work amongst ourselves. I was given responsibility for the first part of the problem, comparing the short term college tuitions between STEM and non-STEM fields. I would take a full 12 hours to complete this surprisingly sizable task.
Wiley tends, like most people and he is not special or unordinary in this case, to choose the easy route. So when he completes the assignments in class his work is lacking the attention and time that could have been put into it had he really cared to. After months of hard work during the school year and summer break, the class has finally reached the level of advanced mathematics.

Teagan Nurnberger Cover Letter DHH 350 For this unit, I wanted to explore what it was like to write lesson plans for a high school mathematics class. Algebra was one of my favorite classes in high school and I was interested in writing out lessons for that subject. I believe algebra is a very computational heavy course and I wanted to find a way to explore how to teach that and convey the rules in an engaging way.
This assignment is an account of my experience, in relation to the progress of mathematical learning, achieved during the process of study in this maths competency unit. There are specific breakdowns of mathematical topics, which have been researched, experiences with weekly activities and my experiences with the Study Plan created from the results from having taken the MyMathLab Maths Competency Test (MCT) twice. Criminals find way to make themselves feel better, whether it’s hurting others or themselves. There are many reasons on the possibility behind the criminal of violent perpetrators; those reasons being, they could have a mental illness, they lost people they cared about, or maybe they’re not in their right minds. Many people do have mental illnesses, but some of those people do not commit crimes.
