Amelia Earhart
Did you know that they called Amelia Earhart “lady lindy’’ after her first flight over the atlantic. She actually loved to climb trees,go sledding,and hunt for rats. Amelia actually became a nurse aid at the toronto hospital. Growing up Amelia wasn’t your average ordinary girl that you would expect for her to be. This paper will explain the childhood,life,and what happened to Amelia Earhart. Her parents Amy and Edwin Otis had Amelia on July 24,1897. Amelia actually spent her summers in kansas. When she lived with her parents she actually saw her first airplane. Once she got a little older she attended a high school at St. Paul Minnesota and Springfield Illinois. Sadly at this time her father was also fighting a losing battle against alcoholism. Amy left with her daughters

Surprisingly Amelia actually looked so much like Charles Lindbergh that they could have been sisters! Even though flying over the pacific in 1937 her name i s still frequently in the news. Aviation archaeologists believe that they know where the circumstances of her demise and where her plane and other evidence can be found. Long ago Earhart was born in Atchison,Kansas on July 24, 1897 she referred to herself as A.E. Supposedly Earhart was considered a tomboy because she loved to go sledding,climb trees, and hunt for rats with a 22 rifle. Later she attended a girls school in Pennsylvania. Also before her flying career she became a nurse aide at the toronto hospital. She did this at the time to help care for wounded soldiers during world war 1. At the time Amelia was growing up,women were beginning to assert their right to enter careers. The way that Amelia realized that she wanted to fly is when she went on her first airplane ride. With braveness Amelia started her first airplane lesson on January 3rd, 1921, and from that day on she knew what her future job was going to
