American Apparel American Apparel is an LA based clothing store that was established in 1989 and just recently announced that there doors will be closing by the end of April 2017. The company had a surge of purchases back in 2013, but people soon lost sight of the company and there sales rapidly dropped in 2014-2015. The products that they offered can be found at places like forever 21 and H&M for much cheaper prices. A lot of their products offered were too basic to be sold at the prices that they were placed at. Even though they had a few signature pieces like the disco pants, it wasn’t enough to keep people interested and engaged to keep purchasing from them.
