The fast food industry’s revenue in 2015 was two hundred billion dollars and employed four million people across the country. With statistics like these, it is hard to see the negatives on the business side of this industry. The fast food industry is still rising and is becoming stronger than ever. The fast food industry has many positive aspects towards American society such as employing so many people, putting money back into our economy, and giving back to local communities. In 2008, fast food restaurants hired two million people in a time where the economy was shaky and unemployment was rising. Then in April of 2011, McDonalds alone hired sixty-two thousand people. That decision by McDonalds ended up boosting America’s economy and work force by a small percentage, which might not seem like a whole lot, but a small gain in times of high unemployment is still better than a loss. Some reasons people keep coming back to fast food restaurants is the consistency in the taste of food, the low price, and the quality of the food. While having these three factors in line, it keeps customers coming back for more because the customer knows what to expect every time they go back to that restaurant. When customers keep coming back, the business makes a steady profit, especially if the business gets many customers to come back. Food taste different to everybody and is a necessity to live. So what many businessmen and women have done is create a menu at restaurants with food that most people in America like. Most people in America tend to like to eat burgers, fries, pizza, and chicken. Now with a common food most people like, it attracts more potential customers. When you get more potential customers, businesses have a higher chance of getting some of those customers to come back and spend more money towards that
