In the article “Stress With” by Jarusha Conner, Denise Pope, and Mollie Galloway done in the Educational Leadership on December 009/January 2010. The concepts that are being studied in this article are about stress and how it is unhealthy for students. The reason for this study to accrue was for reason of that many students are having to undergo under extreme pressure to succeed; due to that pressure many students turn to unhealthy sources to get the necessary grades to succeeded.
However, there was no previous studies mentioned in the article other than collecting surveys. The article focused on students feeling pressure to succeed that they turn to cheating, drugs, all-nighters and stimulants that are affecting their health and mental health. The main purpose for this article was to prove how students with a high-grade point average are the ones who carry unhealthy stress that is affecting their health. The people who wrote this article their main focused was primarily on students but especially targeting 11th and 12th graders in high school and as well as college students. For the study in this article there was aproximally 3,645 students of the ages of 16-18 years-old from seven different high-performing high schools in the California Bay Area. While doing this study the authors found that students feel that teachers leave meaningless amounts of homework causing them not to learn anything with the assignment. Although, the students do not mind doing the assignments, but they would rather do homework where they are learning rather than not learning at all. Even though, the student will continue to do the meaningless homework and assignments however, when the actual learning work comes the students are worn out that they turn towards
