Whenever the harms and benefits of animal testing have been raised, the responses always seem to be controversial as people are divided between standing up for animal health and safety of humans. Animal testing is inhumane and cruel as they are different from humans making animals poor test subjects. Furthermore, tests on animals do not usually succeed as they are executed. Although, cosmetic companies and doctors say animal testing contributes to life saving cures and treatments.
Public misconceptions of animal testing being linked with the death of millions of animals is certainly starting a war between scientists with different perspectives on animal testing as some scientists view testing as a positive. They say it assists many animals in more ways than one could ever imagine.
