Why Lab Mice Have Saved More Lives Than Seat Belts. Animal testing has been a fairly large subject for some time leading onto whether or not it should continue. Animal testing is research done on animals to find cure to disease and sickness. Animal testing should not be put to an end due to the fact that it gives postitive results to new medication and cure for disease and sickness and both humans and animals are both benefitted from this research. "Animal research has played a vital role in virtually every major medical advanced of the last century" (www.pro-test.org). This quote obviously states that animal research has benefitted humans very greatly and helped in every major medical advance from the entire last century. This is basically proving how well animal testing has worked for the people. "Farm animals, household pets, wild species, and endangered species are all benefitting from research conducted through animals. There are vaccines for rabies, distemper, tetanus, parvo virus, and numerous other illnesses in cats, dogs, and countless other domesticated animals" (www.pro-test.org.uk). This quote easily shows that all from animal research, scientists have made vaccines for not only humans, but also for the household animals people care and love in their family. To finish this off, the two quotes states above perfectly show the people how this research has greatly benefitted the world with major medical advances within the last century and also benefitted the pets and household animals people love and care
