This is the Web Design and Development degree curriculum for the University of Arkansas - Little Rock, a similar sized school and close in proximity with the University of Missouri St. Louis. The curriculum is split into foundations and content courses and can be used as a base model for creating my curriculum; it is a blend of computer programming and fine arts. The report can be used as a guideline for developing a Web Design and Development Degree Program, as well as provide insight into the considerations and process with developing the curriculum for a degree program. The report includes many diagrams and tables showing the breakdown of requirements for the designed curriculum from subareas in IS curriculum to knowledge elements of IS. The authors, most importantly, provided a completed overview of the curriculum down to each course in the curriculum. An important component of the book, is it’s transition into college completion as opposed to college entrance, how many students complete their degrees matter much more than those who just enter college. By looking at how the government is persuading students to enter college and pursue a degree, I can better prepare a curriculum that appeals to entering students who may not know what they want to pursue. Knowing the limits and realities of how many students enter college and how many actually graduate, grounds myself to create a curriculum that will truly help students become web
