The use of telecommunications is a choice of whether to use or not use it and is a challenge of using it properly. Society depends on science and technology and the biggest debate in the world of computers today seems to be over which computer software is better; Mac or PC. Apple and Microsoft are two of the top companies in the tech industry in an already huge market more so now that they have been competing for years now, each earning billions. Hackers have more personal data and information to choose from when there are more users on a platform. Windows isn't very secure from viruses on its own without an antivirus software to scan your computer for viruses. There tends to be a lot of viruses tailored for Windows to target this large majority of people and companies utilizing the platform to steal their credit card information, passwords, and data. With Microsoft however, since their devices are so open for upgrades it also has an ease of repair that can be done by the customer or any 3rd party repair store. So an open ecosystem isn't always bad, although to the not so savvy user it could lead to an array of problems and identity theft. Vigilance is important when downloading with websites because it can be very dangerous if antivirus protection was not bought. Anti-virus software can become very expensive over time paying for it monthly and the money saved on the purchase of the Microsoft product compared to the Apple prices will be spent on repair or antivirus software.
