Recently United States faced a great tragedy that we call the Orlando shooting. Were many innocent lives were taken away. Of course the World had reacted in the matters of gun control. People are speaking in hypothetical if every one had a gun that shooting would not have occurred. In all honesty gun control is the main issue that has been brought up again and again. Especially after this tragic incident it only raised more questions on whether or not should the government enact more gun control laws? Helping people and saving innocent lives is an important moral America will hopefully always have. However is restricting more gun control laws going to help save people or not? In the United States there were 464,033 total gun deaths between 1999 and 2013. To top it off the leading cause was by homicide that was 66.6 percent of those gun deaths. Those are a lot of people that could potentially be saved if we would regulate gun control. Although some people may say that gun control laws do not decrease crime and instead ownership deters crime, we cannot say that this method will work in every state because of different states have different culture background, race and poverty rates. However in my earlier statement if there were a universal background check in all states this would make criminal harder to get guns. In hypothetical theory if bad guys or criminals have a harder time to get guns it should mean less people dying. There is one study found that since 2010 seven states that do have universal background checks have reduce gun mortality by 22 percent. Seeing these results does show proof that enacting gun control laws does have potential to help. Hopefully by improving more laws in gun control we can see the death rate drop and not rise, but of course there will be always some proof or evidence that tries to contradict this types of research by saying everyone feels safer if they own a gun etc. However that is why there will be always a pros and
