In the wake of the mass shooting at a Florida high school the question of gun control
has surfaced again. There are two sides of the question, one side proposes that
restrictions are placed on guns while the other side believes it is our constitutional right
to bear firearms. People that want stricter gun control laws believe it will help reduce
crime. Those against gun control believe that owning a gun will help stop crime. Every
citizen should be able to carry a gun and defend themselves against people who want
to harm them. They also have a right to own a gun for recreational purposes such as

money there are under world characters who don?t care about background checks just
waiting to make a quick buck. Most criminals already own guns because they need to
protect themselves from other criminals. Also stricter gun control laws will make it easier
for criminals to commit crimes against a victim who cannot defend themselves. It is
important for citizens to be able to own a gun for self defense. As our population gets
older there is a greater need to protect oneself and one?s property from those people
who prey on the weak.
