Legalization of Marijuana Today there is a lot of material which are considered as an illegal by most authorities but not all of these materials should be banned for instance a plant called cannabis, also known as marijuana. The word of “Marijuana” do not have specific origins but is according to Oxford English Dictionary the word derives from Aztecan word “mallihuan” which means prisoner.(1) As we can understand, the discovery of this plant is nothing new. Marijuana has been used for ages with different kinds of uses and people form that times did not made it illegal. When we looked its history the first restrictions were started approximately in 1930 's. Since then, it is still prohibited by some countries. However, today we have governments that allowed consumption of marijuana under some conditions such as taxing, allowing just for medical use or even using the way whatever you want. Why we need it to be banned today. What is the logical explanation behind this? Who made this decision that it should not be consumed? Today there is a lot of material way worse than marijuana and they are legal. There is no reason that a matter which can use in medical ways considered as illegal. Illegality of marijuana does not makes it unreachable and there is still a lot of people using and selling it. The using marijuana is not harmful than drinking alcohol and smoking cigarette.
