Gun control is the controversial fight, both verbal and physical, about whether there should or should not be guns due to criminal intentions. Gun control is defined as “…an effort to fight violent crime by strengthening laws on the ownership of firearms.”(Gun Control). This effort to keep guns under control is self defeating because of the controversy it creates. It is hard to keep it to the point where people do not use them for illegal reasons. This is because people have different views of right or wrong. Due to these differences, the laws on the ownership of guns are shrugged off by those who think it is right to induce crime into the public. The control over guns will always be a battle between those who neglect the law and those who follow and or enforce the law. Some people believe that there should be stricter laws on gun control, but others think that there should be loose laws on gun control. “Such restrictions include laws that impose cost or inconvenience on law-abiding gun owners. The association, also known as the NRA (National Rifle Association), supports laws that provide longer prison terms for people who commit crimes with firearms.”(National Rifle Association of America). People in such associations, or into hunting and shooting sports, that follow the law are the ones who want to keep the law the way it is.
