What does it mean to be a professional? Professional require years of study and practice to be an expert in their field of expertise. Ultimately, society is dependent upon professionals for medical, security and judicial. The military professionals have their own sense of security, which society cannot provide. After the fall of Baghdad and Iraq, the Army was out of balance when they were needed by our nation in time of need. The Army was able to overcome and adapt, reform and conquer the shortcomings of the Iraq War when strategic leaders made changes to their operations.
Strategic leaders are managers of institutional systems of the Army and influence attributes of their profession. They provide junior leaders individual actions of merits of competence to determine whether junior soldiers are see themselves as professionals applying for a government employment.
The Army professional culture is a system of meaning of sharing attitudes, values, goals and practices that have an influence on larger institutions over time and reflects on the organization culture.
