The war was a stand-off with machine guns being used in trench warfare, nobody could cross no man's land without getting killed immediately. A solution started to become obvious to the British. The tank was born. An automobile that was heavily armored, with some serious gun power on it, and treads instead of wheels for the tough terrain. The tank could go straight into overwhelming small arms fire. And no man’s land was not a problem for them anymore.

During WWI millions of soldiers suffered life threatening injuries. A big need during this time were the X-Rays, but these needed big machines and were to delicate to move. Marie Curie set out to make the first mobile X-Ray machines. After hard work she installed them in several cars and small trucks. With artists including: Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, and Paul Cezanne.During the war art began to change from natural art into non-structured, boxy, and a lot of lines. A lot of art during the war was of the front lines. The famous artists during the war were: Edward Wadsworth, Eric Kennington, John SInger Sargent, and Walter Bayes. The art after the war became less realistic and more random, also very dark. These famous artists were: Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, and Wassily Kandinsky.

Music was just like anything else normal. During this time music was evolving and introducing blues, ragtime, and jazz. The music was very lively and fun to dance too. WWI took a toll on classical music. Many composers and performers died in battle or were left scarred for life. Some pieces of music were written just for the war, while others were a result of the tragedy. The music got slower and some say more sad. WWI changed music history forever and it can be a bad thing but also some amazing pieces were written during this time that otherwise wouldn't have been
