Ever since we were young, we would express our thoughts, ideas, and emotions through art. We began learning with visuals like shapes and colors. We used music and songs to help remember information when we were young. It’s used as a learning tool in lower grades such as kindergarten and first grade. As students progress through school, the less art is integrated into academic subjects like mathematics or language arts. This is consequential because the incorporation of art or more accessible art programs can be tremendously beneficial to all students. Involvement in an art course can be beneficial to a student’s mental health. Art can be a place where a student can entirely express their emotions. This can facilitate learning and make all subjects of school more engaging. Art can be a creative outlet that is so desperately needed for students struggling academically. The integration of the arts in mainly academic subjects can make those subjects more enjoyable for students, which can lead to higher grades.
