Autism spectrum disorder and Autism are both brain disorders. These two disorders are generalized by verbal and nonverbal communication and social interaction and the hallmark of repetitive behaviors. Autism starts to show in early brain development. The signs of autism are there but are more pronounced between the ages of two and three at this age child struggle with simple activities such as playing
There are three types of Autism Spectrum Disorders. The disorder everyone refers to when they hear the word autism is called Autistic Disorder or classis autism. There are noticeable language delays with bizarre behaviors and interests. Cognitive impairment is prevalent in many with autistic disorder. Another disorder is Asperger syndrome. This is also autism but at a milder form. The symptoms are less pronounced. Language is not usually the problem.
