Leadership Camp
The leadership camp is a three-day camp that will be run at the outlook in Boonah. The purpose of this leadership camp is, to build our students leadership skills through a variety of different training and activities to enhance their confidence, communication skills and other aspect of personal development.
The involvement of the outlook is very important that’s why having our camp in Boonah is most preferable. The outlook staff are trained to work with young people to build their leadership skills and other aspects. I have decided to run the camp in mid-year the reason behind that is the activities I have choose are most preferred to be done in mid-year because they are mostly outdoor activities expect for human knot which could be done as in indoor activity.

Leadership skills can be realised in someone who never thought they had them, an activity like high ropes builds team trust, boosts self- esteem and helps young people overcome their fears.
Canoeing provides a variety of games for youth to participate in while learning life lessons. Canoeing activities teaches young people trust, teamwork, communication and leadership skills.
An activity like human knot goes big on communication and teamwork, the human knot gets team members working together to solve a problem, develops leaders, builds trust within the team and focuses on communication and encourages persistence.
