Did you know that Benjamin Franklin's two famous inventions of the lightning rod and stove solved major problems for the colonists in his time? For example, these inventions made remarkable changes in their society. Changes that protected homes and provided warmth. Franklin created numerous inventions in his time. But, what invention made the biggest impact on society? Well, two famous inventions, the lightning rod and the stove, made a very big impact on society. For example, the lightning rod and stove helped society by protecting homes,providing warmth, and creating a place to cook. These inventions must have made a huge impact on society considering there was nothing invented close to these things back then. One of the many reasons why the lightning rod and the stove are two of Franklin's most helpful inventions to society, is because they saved lifes. For example, in Benjamin Franklin's time, “Lightning striking one’s home could have disastrous consequences, especially since houses were generally made out of wood.” But since Franklin made the lightning rod this problem became less of an issue. Well, The stove had numerous impacts on society as well, but just one of them is the warmth it gave off. For instance, “ Franklin had noticed that existing stoves had two major problems.” The problems of the stove were being gassy and uncomfortable to sit near, and not efficient for radiating heat.
