Before beginning my internship at BMF media there were a lot of personal goals that I set for myself. There were two main goals that I set for myself to focus on during my time here interning for BMF media. One of the goals was to participate in an event to tell a story of the client we were working for. I had the goal to learn and understand the process of how everything comes together for an event. The other goal was to work individually with influencers and create what they wanted in their development within a specific region. These two goals are very broad but I am working to accomplish them. I believe that I have achieved one more over the other.

Having an event binder with different documents including the event itinerary, guest list, keynote speakers and more can help you quickly flip to whatever information you're looking for rather than shuffling through emails”. This quote really stuck out to me because with my experience of planning the events, I do not always feel that my company is organized. My job is to make the guest list very organized which can be very overwhelming but in the end, when I see how organized I have made it, it makes me feel very accomplished. It is so true with how important organization really is in event planning. You have to stay on top of things and often this is hard to do with so much going on. I would say that this is one of the roadblocks that are not letting me fully experience this goal of mine. The company does a lot through the computer and by phone rather than meeting in person when it comes to an event. I like to see things on paper to understand the process but with all of this technology, I will have to get used to it all being planned through the computer.
Sometimes I feel that I am accomplishing this goal but may not be getting the best learning experience because a lot of things seem last minute with the company I am working for. Although this is frustrating, I realize that sometimes things in life do not go as planned and this is a real world situation that must cope
