Calorie Intake On the Rise: The Product of Fast Food That tasty batch of Papa John’s cheesesticks or those Dairy Queen chicken strips basket may not be as good as it looks. The reason is high calorie intake. One possibility for why there are so many calories per serving are so high could be because fast food contains items that should not be eaten on a regular basis. However, high calorie intake can be stopped by eating the healthy choices instead of unhealthy ones at fast food restaurants. To begin with, according to Obesity and Fast Food, fast food is typically high in calories, fat, saturated fat, trans fat, sugar, simple carbohydrates, and sodium, otherwise known as salt.
