The purpose of this memo is to create a layout of strategy for suggesting recommendations in the IT Change and Problem Management process. In this memo, I will define the problem and solution with the current service management process in the IT and formulate a writing strategy for suggesting the change in current process.

Current Change Management Process:

Problem:
Change is a vital part in an IT organization-whether to create a new service or product or optimize an existing product or service. However, department restricts the changes details to themselves. IT doesn’t communicate changes holistically to all its members. Additionally, there is no standard template to be follow while promoting a change. The primary readers of the IT recommendation report will be IT Change and Problem Managers lead by Mr. Dave Coy. Their role is to approve or reject changes, design or modify change management process and report successful or failed changes to top level management.

The secondary readers will be Operations Managers lead by Mr. John Waugh. Their role to manage operations in the organization. A change in service or a product may result in disruption of operation.

Solution:
There are two primary groups that may benefit from this IT recommendation report. The first group, consisting of employees of IT. They may learn to minimize the number of service disruptions. And by following the change management template, the number of successful changes implemented will increase and change backlog will decrease. The second group consisting of employers or the organization. This will improve their credibility with the clients or customers. Moreover, they may find this valuable and deploy same strategy with other clients or projects.
