Are you curious about religion? Do you desire to delve into more detail about certain religion’s differences and similarities? Is either of those religions Christianity or Islam? Christianity and Islam have numerous similarities, but they also have distinct differences.
Christianity and Islam share a monotheistic belief. Christianity and Islam are two out of three major world religions that are monotheistic. They believe that there is one God also known as Allah to Muslims that is the creator of the world and everything and everyone living in it. Apart from other religions equivalent to Hinduism's polytheistic belief in numerous forms of gods and goddesses Christians and Muslims believe there is only one God that is worthy to be praised. Christians believe in the Trinity which is the Father God, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. The belief that Jesus Christ died for our sins and was resurrected is a unique belief of Christianity that supports the Holy Trinity. As a result of Muslim's belief that Jesus was not resurrected and that he is only a prophet, they reject the Trinity that Christians believe to be true. Muslims believe they should only worship God and God simply created the impression that Jesus died on the cross.
Another similarity between Christians and Muslims is their belief in prayer to God. They believe that praying to God assists in a revelation of his will and desires for our individual lives. Additionally, Christians pray to God to get to know him on a personal level. Christians pray because they yearn to learn as much as possible about God and gain a relationship with Him. Muslims pray to God because they desire to know God’s will and follow the Five Pillars instructions stating that it is imperative that they pray five times
