Successful healthcare organizations have strong managers and leaders that assist with developing, supporting, and motivating employee’s longevity within the institution. Managers carry out huge responsibilities that are written by the institution to be completed the duties and meet the required goals. The purpose this clinical rotation was student nurse requires a balance of nursing theory and practice. The clinical preceptorship is one way to further advance the integration of theory and practice. Through, this clinical rotation I had numerous opportunities to become familiarizes myself in the roles and responsibilities of a new professional baccalaureate-prepared nurse needed. To achieve this I have attended several educational council meeting, collaborate and work closely with the preceptor. I was able to identify the roles of the preceptor at this facility; she plays huge roles in organizing and coordinating the staff nurse educator in the facility. The first thing that comes to mind during this clinical rotation is ensuring the staff education development coordinator competencies. The staff nurse educators have to be competent and communicate effectively with the nurses to develop and deliver quality patient care.
Throughout the 48 hours clinical rotation, everything went perfectly because the preceptor provides me a valuable resource that helps with my research paper. The preceptor provides guidance to establish an individual goal, also consult and facilitate the achievement of education objective through synthesis in practice. As a student nurse, I have shown professionalism in my attendance and performance throughout the course rotation.
