From the printing press to the microprocessor, technology has dramatically shaped the course of human society, and software programing has been the driving force behind this rapid transformation of the modern world. I am indeed fortunate to be a part of this digital revolution, having completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering. The Bachelor’s program has molded my academic excellence and prowess in several computer languages such as C, Java and Visual Basic. Additionally, classes in Artificial Intelligence and System Security have encouraged my interest in the vast potential of Computer Science, by exposing me to advanced research and analytical techniques.

A Master’s in Computer Science at the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), will further equip me with the skills and tools required to be at the top of my chosen profession. Also, participating in this program will give me insights into diverse experimental projects, and especially enable me to contribute my ideas to the UC Davis research fraternity. I am particularly interested in the research done by Professor Phillip Rogaway on ‘Robust Authenticated Encryption’ in the field of Cryptography. His prove-then-prune approach in developing effective encryption schemes is fascinating. After completing my training in Java, I was allotted the General Electric Fleet Project, and was assigned to the SCRUM team as a Java and UI developer. During this process, I mastered the Backbone JavaScript language, as well as the Spring framework. This helped me to successfully design and develop the Add Vehicle component and the Change Log Tab functionality for the GE Fleet web
