Fresh eyed, alone and desperate, I came into the United States. My heart desperate and my soul was restless, I had to come to achieve a childhood dream of mine in this land of my longing. A dream of becoming a prominent business leader and owner of a multi-national conglomerate company in Africa, which I believe is now within my reach. My dream of inspiring and building a network of millions for young Africans determined to transform their countries from the hopeless and poor state it is to a one full industry and enterprise. I look forward to gaining skills ranging from, exposure to multicultural events, problem solving skills and international business techniques, that I can make use of after my college experience. From such an experience I’ve learned how to be dependent, loyal, adaptable and most of all motivational; not just for myself but for others as well. However, such an experience also, influenced me to attend a co-ed college not just because I wanted to explore and learn about the different perspectives from despite genders. I also, wanted to be able to understand people’s view on of the world regardless of what they believe when it came to topics such as gender, class, race and background. As an International Business and Anthropology double major, I’ve come to realize that all across the SUNY, Geneseo campus, there are major multicultural groups formed by people from diverse cultures and unique backgrounds. It encourages me to learn and interact with others that have different customs than I do. In addition to that it gives me the opportunity to learn and accept values that I either never heard of, or was once afraid to approach and examine. It overall, makes me happy to see so many disparate people from, all over the world, be able to become a part of another
