As a community college student (soon to be graduate), I feel that I have gained a new perspective on what personal growth means. Like any student with a passion for a greater future, I believe in taking every experience and opportunity from community college in order to prepare me for the next level in my education. Throughout my two years of receiving hard earned grades and becoming involved in community service projects (through Phi Theta Kappa) I realized the importance of community building and setting goals. I am proud to be the Co-President of Phi Theta Kappa and to have achieved a 3.8 GPA for my last semester. My 3.8 GPA lead me to a well-deserved position on the Deans’ List, and I am positive that Rutgers University will provide me the tools that will lead me to success. I am majoring in Political Science with a minor in Women and Gender Studies. Analyzing systems of government and how political thought develops has always interested me. Relating women’s studies to politics is very important to me. My aspirations lie in theoretically dismantling systems in power and understanding it from different aspects. After I complete my Bachelor’s degree, I will attend law school. I know that having a prestigious undergraduate degree from Rutgers University will help prepare me for law school. I have interacted with many advisers from Rutgers University that have recommended many amazing clubs that will strengthen my undergraduate degree. To enhance my debate skills, I want to join the Debate Union and the Mock Trial Association. For volunteering opportunities, I want to look into Give Where You Live, Habitat for Humanity, and Global Citizens. To gain skills in networking, and to work with peers in the same field as my own, I want to join Law and Political Science Discovery House, the Pre-Law Society, and the Women’s Political
