Fahrenheit Compare and Contrast essay imagine living in a place where you are free, then living in a utopian society might just be the right place for you, but suddenly turns into a dystopian society, This is similar to a novel called fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. In Fahrenheit where a married couple Montag, and Mildred are living in an undisclosed area In the United States. The two have to survive in a slow becoming apocalypse world, Montag works as a fireman who burns books and makes fires, Mildred is a housewife.
The society in fahranheit is different from ours, firefighters replaced by firemen who make fires rather than stop them, books are illegal and should be burnt rather in our society we need books. In the novel it states that books were banned in an attempt to keep society happy believing that if people did not have to form opinions for themselve there would be less conflict, and society would be happier says Captain Beatty.Mildred overdosed on sleeping pills once and she was replaced with somebody else’s blood which changed Mildred like she was a new person, she says she ran over clarissee (a friend on montag) and shows no remorse.
