A plethora of people will go to extreme lengths to make sure that their values are heard and respected. Since people have different backgrounds and religions, many diverse opinions and values are formed. A person’s religion changes the way they exist and the way they feel others should live as well as what they should believe in. Each of the three religions mentioned feel as though their principals and religion are the correct and only acceptable ways to live and worship on earth.
Each of the religious quotes mentioned share a similar meaning. Jews insist that Jehovah is the only god that is existent. In comparison, Christians believe that God is the most powerful god in existence. Muslims feel that Muhammad is the only god that is existent. …show more content…

Each of the quotes shown give many compliments to its gods; the Jewish Bible says that Jehovah is “majestic in holiness” and “awesome in glory;” the Christians believe that the Bible says that God is “majestic in holiness” and “awesome in glory” (“Exodus 15:11”) Also, the Quran says that Muhammad is “Merciful” and “Compassionate” (“Concept of God”). Each quote also says no god is comparable to any other god. Exodus chapter 15 verse 11, asks, “Who is like you…” Chapter 112 of the Quran states, “...equal to Him is not anyone.” These quotes contain differences as well. In the Christian and Jewish quote from Exodus 15:11, it is stated,”Who among the gods is like you, Lord?” Also, in the Quran in chapter 112, it is said,” He is God the One God…” These religions share the belief that their god is the most powerful and …show more content…

Each of these quotes state that the god mentioned is magnificent in multiple ways. The Jewish and Christian Bible states,” ...majestic in holiness, awesome in glory…”("Exodus 15:11"). The Bible says this to enforce the belief in God’s majestic abilities. The Muslim Quran states,”He is God the One God, the Everlasting Refuge…”("Concept of God in Islam"). This is mentioned in the Muslim text to express the belief Muslims have in Muhammad. These quotes empower the believers of these religions and add to the belief they have in their god.

The quote above is from the short story written by Rudyard Kipling. The quote raises the question: do any of the religious followers know who is the strongest god? The quote compares one believer’s god to another believer’s god and asks which is stronger. The quote brings the notion that most believers do not know if their god or another god is stronger. No believer knows who is stronger; however, the believers of these particular religions choose to believe that their god is the strongest
