According to the “Creation Science” page of Wikipedia, the term “creationism” first became linked with Christian Fundamentalism, a movement that aimed to revise the traditional Christian beliefs to correlate with new natural and social science in the 19th century. Creationism can also be translated into “creation myth” in which followers bring in skepticism to scientific theories as to how the earth came to be. Although opinions of creationism may vary, there is a unity of thought that God created the universe. Creation science is significantly centered on the Book of Genesis, which describes how God created the world through his powers. The hidden assumption that is not stated by believers would be that the Christian religion is the superior religion amongst all because it is the one in which their God had created the universe.

The evidence provided by those in the field of creation science is the narrative from the Book of Genesis. They also rely on well-known or higher authority of the past. Believers of creation science claim that the Bible holds the description of creation and consequently, all later sciences must correspond to the specific depiction.
What is one alternative, more plausible explanation, for their claims?
An alternative explanation that makes creation science more plausible is that there is no definite truth to all the theories of the earth’s creation or evolution. Although some data is in favor, it is not set in stone. This gives opportunity for believers to incorporate their strong faith in their religion and correspond it to their understanding of the world. They claim that the Bible is incapable of being wrong. In the article “Why Should a Christian Believe in Creation?” by Dr. John D. Morris, evolution is seen as an inadequate science because he claims that there is no way of testing it and that there is no evidence in fossil records. This is illogical because there is evidence of evolution in fossil records through their similarities of common ancestors.
