Happiness is often considered to be one of the most elusive emotions for a person to successfully capture and hold onto. A common misconception is that there is just one way for a person to find happiness, when in reality; there are many ways for a person to live a life full of happiness.

Instead of constantly looking towards others for validation or lessons on how to be happy, learn how to look within and discover the best ways to be happy on your own. In many instances, people falsely believe that someone else's happiness is what they should be pursuing and they do not connect the dots to their own.

A truly happy is only receptive to positive thoughts and does not waste a single moment stressing themselves out with the negativity of the outside world.

By taking in negative thoughts, you are inadvertently affecting your own mood. The law of attraction states that we draw in similar energy to what we are putting out there in the universe. Taking in negative energy from others only serves to put a damper on our potential good moods.

We are the people we associate with. If you are associating with negative people in your daily living, whether you are a student, a professional, or both, this can have a devastating effect on your mind's ability to discover its own happiness. Do not give another person the power to implant negative thoughts in your mind and keep you from true happiness.

People who are happy tend to do what they love and love what they do, so if you do not fall into this category, be sure to investigate your lifestyle and make the necessary changes. Forcing yourself to do things that you do not love and spend time around people who are unhappy is a one way ticket to sadness and despair.
