Love is one of the vaguest words that exist in the dictionary, however just like the famous quote that many can relate to “love is indefinable, but when you feel it, you will know that it’s love” (Rushing, 2008). Coming from the perspective of a scientist, love is a feeling originating from the hypothalamus. Love has different meanings and interpretations across culture, age, gender, sexual orientation, and many more, however one thing is clear: one of the key factors why we enter into a relationship is because of love. According to Psychology Today (2015), love is an emotion that is strongly felt by humans and is innate and universal in nature. There are several types of love, but many people would like to express this emotion in a romantic way and most especially with their compatible person, or also known as “the one”. Forming relationships are the essence of life and at one point in our lives; we will be forming romantic relationships with people we would deem as our compatible partners. One of the most satisfying elements that you can have in life is romantic relationships since it is included in the list of things that can give us deep fulfilment.
